पार्टी अध्यक्ष केपी शर्मा ओली प्रधानमन्त्री र उपाध्यक्ष विद्या भण्डारी राष्ट्रपति चयन भएपछि एमालेभित्रको आन्तरिक समीकरणमा फेरबदल भएको छ । पार्टीका एउटै समूहका नेता प्रधानमन्त्री र राष्ट्रपति भएको तथा मन्त्रीपरिषद् गठनमा आफुहरुसँग उचित्त परामर्श नलिएको भन्दै बरिष्ठ नेता माधव नेपाल र झलनाथ खनाल एक ठाँउमा उभिएका छन् । त्यसो त प्रधानमन्त्रीमा चयनभएपछि ओलीले आफुलाई पनि महत्व नदिएको भन्दै उपाध्यक्ष बामदेव गौतम पनि असन्तुष्ट बनेको एमाले स्रोत बताउँछ । ..... ‘तर, अहिले पार्टीको भागमा राष्ट्रपति आउँदा जेएन कमरेडलाई अगाडि सारिएन ।’ ती सभासदका अनुसार अहिले खनालले आफूमाथि धोका भएको बताउन थालेका छन् । ..... प्रधानमन्त्रीमा चयन भएपछि पार्टीको नेतृत्व माधव नेपाललाई दिने गरी एमाले अध्यक्ष ओलीले भद्र–सहमति गरेको नेपाल निकट नेताको दाबी गरेका थिए । यसैअनुसार ओलीलाई प्रधानमन्त्री बनाउन नेपालले पूरै शक्ति लगाएको नेपाल समूहको दावी थियो । ..... मलाई प्रधानमन्त्री बनाउनुस् म अध्यक्षबाट राजीनामा दिन्छु । राष्ट्रिय प्रतिनिधि परिषद् बैठक बोलाएर अध्यक्ष बन्नुहोला । ओली कमरेडले भन्नुभएको थियो ।’ ..... खनालजस्तै उपाध्यक्ष वामदेव गौतमले पनि अध्यक्ष केपी ओलीबाट आफूलाई धोका भएको निश्कर्ष निकालेका छन् । प्रधानमन्त्रीमा गएपछि संसदीय दलको नेता र कार्यवाहक अध्यक्ष दिनेगरी ओलीले गौतमसँग भद्र–सहमति गरेको गौतम पक्षका नेताको दावी रहँदै आएको छ । .....

वामदेवले आफू नजिकका नेतासँगको भेटमा भनेको उद्धृत गर्दै एक केन्द्रीय सदस्यले भने, ‘दिन्छु भनेका हुन् । दिन्नन् त म के गरुँ ?’

..... मधेशी मोर्चासँग वार्ता, नाकाबन्दी खोल्ने र संविधान लागु गर्ने जस्ता महत्ववूर्ण कार्यभारसहित गठन भएको ओली नेतृत्वको सरकारलाई असहयोग गर्ने नीति खनाल र नेपाललले लिएका छन् । मधेशी मोर्चासँगको वार्तामा होस् वा नाकाबन्दीका विषयमा भारतसँगको सम्बन्धका विषयमा नेपाल र खनालले गठबन्धनलाई असहयोग गर्ने नीति बनाएको एमालेको प्रधानमन्त्री ओलीपक्ष मानिने नेताहरुको बुझाई छ ।
