The thing to remember is that this thing works. It worked during the April Revolution. Newsdesks do look at emails they get. If they were to get 50 or 500 emails on the Madhesi Movement, that would certainly make a difference. So I encourage all Madhesis and progressive Pahadis to participate in this email writing campaign.
Do not send out mass mail. Write to one email address at a time. Or hide all email addresses when writing to them at once. But personalized emails work best.

To: The Editor
Dear Sir/Madam,
There is a Madhesi Movement going on in Nepal that parallels the world astounding April Revolution. That was for democracy, this is for social justice. The Madhesi are the people of the southern plains in Nepal and have been kept out of the state machinery for centuries.
Anywhere between five and six million Madhesis have been denied citizenship rights which is a fundamental human right violation being perpetrated by a so-called democratic government. This government has agreed to provide citizenship papers to about three million of them over the next few months so as to "solve" the "citizenship problem." That is a cruel joke upon the Madhesi.
Half of Nepal lives in the Terai but only 80 of the 205 parliamentary constituencies are in the Terai. If elections to the constituent assembly are held, the cards will be stacked against the Terai in the assembly.
The Madhesi Movement has been a nonviolent one, like the April Revolution. The April Revolution garnered global media attention. It is time the Madhesi Movement had the same. This is a social justice revolution that will possibly bring in the other marginalized groups under its umbrella, namely the Dalit, Janajati and Mahila. Nepal as the world has so far known it does not include these four groups, the DaMaJaMa. Time has come to expand the Nepali identity to include all.
I request your media outlet to please cover this august movement.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
(Name)
