PIN - PLAN
Under the aegis of CICR (Center for International Conflict Resolution)at Columbia University, the PIN-project is an initiative to explore avenues for extrication from the ongoing Nepali Conflict through a participatory and collaborative approach amongst the leaders from the "Emerging Generation." Emphasizing on the need to constructively engage the emerging generation of tomorrow's Nepal, this initiative aims to bridge the gap amongst different sectors of the society. The project has three interdependent components: i) to initiate a dialogue amongst the representatives of the emerging generation of the "Tomorrow's Nepal" to create an understanding of their respective roles and foster inter-relations ii) to train these representatives on conflict resolution theory and practices, iii) From these very representatives, generate recommendations for a sustainable solution to the current impasse.
The primary objectives of this initiative are:
Like i said, i've already embarked on this journey. I don't know where this endeavour will take me but i'll willing to try it out. I'm certainly not an expert and i know there are tons of inadequacies but, it is definitely a step forward. I very much appreicate you taking the time to furnish me with suggestions on how i could better realize this goal. It is simply a informal congregation of a few individuals to discuss about moving forward in a constructive manner.
The date i've tried to set is March 10(saturday) 4-7pm at SIPA.
Best,Chiran Jung Thapa
